• We offer a range of baby to teen clothing. Main features on website are baby wraps/swaddles, toddler/knee blankets made from hand woven cashmere with silk border. Or range is usually a one off/unique item that may be similar to another, but no items are mass produced. We offer soft toys hand croquet, and some knitted at times. All items are made from only the best quality material.

  • We offer quality unique handcrafted items made from quality products such as 100% hand woven cashmere, silk, cotton and linen. Some items are hand embroidered, some hand smocked, not done by machine. We also will be offering croquet and knitting items on our website.

  • This is a family business, me as the owner (Katrina) embroiderer, smocker, knitter and dressmaker. My mother (Linda) is semi-retired and also a dressmaker, croquets and knits.

  • We also offer special items such as if you have a specific embroidery pattern to be done by hand on one of our products this can be arranged by contacting us via email. As we are able to alter items and make special orders for clients if they require. These items would need to be outlined and emailed to us to give you a quote prior to altering or making specific items.

    Instruction for knitted Cashmere products

    Wash

    • Hand wash with a gentle wool detergent or baby shampoo

    • Soak in a soapy luke-warm water 30 degree Celsius for a few minutes

    • Gently squeeze through the fibers, no not wring or twist your cashmere

    • Rinse and repeat the process in clean luke warm water as above, squeeze to expel excess water.

    • To remove excess water lay flat in a clean towel roll and press excess water out.

    • Then dry naturally on a flat surface away from heat and direct sunlight, do not hang, do not tumble dry

    You may be surprised your cashmere gets softer with each wash.

    For woven/non kitted cashmere

    • No frequent cleaning required. Air out frequently recommended.

    • Spot clean and air dry when required.

    • Dry clean with care.

    Iron

    Cover your cashmere with a piece of cloth and press with warm iron gently

    Store

    Fold neatly and place in a storage bag and store away from direct sunlight, humidity and dust.

    Pilling

    Pilling or blobbing is an inherent characteristic of natural fibers. It is a direct result of frictions and wear. To avoid heavy pilling it is advisable to protect rubbing against rough materials and clothing accessories.

    Cashmere is beautiful and delicate, when treated mindfully with love and care, will become a cherished heirloom.

  • Linen is a durable, natural fabric that becomes softer with each wash. It should be machine-washed in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, separated by colors. Air dry in the shade to prevent fading and fiber damage or tumble dry on low heat, Iron with stream while slightly damp if needed.

    Washing Linen

    • Cycles: Use a gentle, cold-water machine cycle (30-40 deg Celsius) to avoid shrinking or damaging fibers

    • Detergent: Choose a mild, pH-neutral detergent, avoiding harsh detergents and bleach, which can weaken fibers.

    • Separations: Wash bright and dark colors to avoid color bleeding.

    • Overloading: Avoid overcrowding the machine to reduce, as linen needs room to wash properly.

    • Handwashing: handwash in cold water, if necessary, but do not wring or twist the fabric.

    Drying and Finishing

    • Air Drying: Line dry in the shade is best to prevent fading and yellowing.

    • Tumble Drying: Use a low heat setting and remove while slightly damp to minimize damage.

    • Ironing: Iron on medium high heat while the fabric is still slightly damp for a crisp look. Use a steam iron or a steamer to remove wrinkles.

    Storage and Maintenance

    • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, ideally in linen or cotton bags, rather than plastic.

    • Stain Care: Spot-clean stains promptly with a mild detergent. Avoid intense direct heat on stains as it can set them.

    • Frequency: Linen really needs frequent washing: it can be washed every two or three wears, at its durable, breathable fibers hold up well over time.

  • Liberty Tana Lawn is a durable, high-thread-count 100% cotton fabric that is easy to care for, Machine washable, and really shrinks significantly. Recommended care includes a 30-40 deg Celsius delicate wash, line drying in shade, and hot/steam ironing to restore its smooth, silk like finish.
